Cologne Day 2

Hi friends! Yesterday got the best of me and my time and I didn't get to post!!!

Old Town Cologne!

Pegel Koln! This tells the water level of the Rhine River. Flooding is a big issue in the Southern Germany, so it is really important that the water level is constantly monitored. When the water reaches certain levels, ships have to adjust their speeds.

We stopped to have a Kolsch on the Rhine.

Bachelor and Bachelorette parties take on a whole new meaning in Europe. It is common that people dress up and do crazy things. We saw SOOOO many different groups, at least 30.
Some lady cops.

Main train station!

We ventured to the Chocolate Museum. Can you say YUM!

A chocolate fountain! Heaven!

We explored the entire museum, it was pretty neat and interesting to learn about the process and history.

The gift shop was out of this world! I snuck in one picture of chocolate CD's but this place was seriously incredible. SO. MUCH. CHOCOLATE. Chocolate everything from iPhone's to lipstick.

We picked out 14 euros worth of Chocolate everything and went on with our day.

Our hotel gave us a map with suggestions on where to eat, what to see, etc. Well, there was this place that is supposed to have amazing American food. Like amazing chicken wings, nachos, mozzarella sticks, the whole nine yards. So naturally, we had planned all weekend to eat here for lunch before our drive home. Well, the kitchen wasn't opened and it was a sad day!

HOWEVER, have no fear because we found a Cuban place that was near where we parked. I saw nachos, Blake saw chicken wings, and we took a seat!

It came with guacamole and my heart was really really happy.

Blake was also really happy as his wings were delish!

We both agreed that the food was amazing in Cologne.

We are heading to Heidelberg this weekend and our hotel is right on the river! We are excited.

I am planning a special trip for Blake's birthday, and we are getting more and more excited about Amsterdam next weekend!

Tschüss
(My favorite thing to say in German, and it just means bye.)
